This Employee Policy governs the manner in which Alchi Design Studio runs it's operations and policies, statements, and actions we have taken to make sure that slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in our supply chains or any part of our own business.
We are committed to end modern slavery and are taking the appropriate steps to make sure that everyone who works for Alchi Design Studio benefits from a working environment in which their fundamental human rights are respected and anyone that we do business with also upholds these principles.
This statement is made regarding the Modern Slavery Act 2015 which requires employers to be transparent about their efforts to end slavery and human trafficking in their supply chain.

Relevant policies
The organisation operates the following policies that describe its approach to the identification of modern slavery risks and steps to be taken to prevent slavery and human trafficking in its operations:
- Whistleblowing policy – The organisation encourages all its workers, customers and other business partners to report any concerns related to the direct activities, or the supply chains of, the organisation. This includes any circumstances that may give rise to an enhanced risk of slavery or human trafficking. The organisation’s whistleblowing procedure is designed to make it easy for workers to make disclosures, without fear of retaliation.
- Employee code of conduct – The organisation’s code makes clear to employees the actions and behaviour expected of them when representing the organisation. The organisation strives to maintain the highest standards of employee conduct and ethical behaviour when operating at home or abroad and managing its supply chain.
- Supplier/Procurement code of conduct – The organisation is committed to ensuring that its suppliers adhere to the highest standards of ethics. Suppliers are required to demonstrate that they provide safe working conditions where necessary, treat workers with dignity and respect, and act ethically and within the law in their use of labour. The organisation works with suppliers to ensure that they meet the standards of the code and improve their worker’s working conditions.
- Recruitment policy – The organisation uses only specified, reputable employment agencies and employee referral programs to source labour and always verifies the practices of any new agency it is using before accepting workers from that agency.
Due diligence
We consider ourselves to be a ‘low risk’ business regarding slavery and human trafficking. However, we foster a culture that encourages the identification and reporting of any such risks within our business.
The company does not use many distributors or vendors and these suppliers do not change regularly. Whenever we take on new suppliers, we undertake due diligence to ensure that they operate a zero-tolerance policy on modern slavery and human trafficking.
Training
We are providing appropriate training to ensure that relevant employees understand the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking within our business and supply chains.
Board approval
This statement has been approved by the organisation’s board of directors, who will review and update it annually.
